There has never been a more interesting time to engage our resources, commitment, and efforts in this one in a lifetime peace mission across the Atlantic. The difference it will make in this time and season is that we are taking a different intervention approach to advance the causes of peace in a very divided international system that has often been guided by short-term deal-making which has surely proven to be unstable.
Importantly to note is that Never before has humanity faced a period such as this – a time when our deepest desire for peace and security is mired by threats that are at least as dangerous as, and in some ways more complex than those we have confronted in the past, threats that come from sophisticated weapons that can kill on a mass scale, and from global terrorists and violent extremists who respond to alienation or perceived injustice with murderous nihilism. Threats that often come from rogue states (state sponsors of terror) allied to terrorists and from rising powers that could challenge the foundation of International Peace and Security. They come from powerful nations who have the capabilities to invade and annex other countries without recourse to International Laws and Principles.
All around the continents of the world, we have continuously witnessed a pattern of disorder with regards to the challenges of security and peace, all have its roots in the uneven dishonesty, divisiveness and lack of collaboration between global actors in the international systems, and both multilateral institutions and national governments have grown weary of innovating new measures to contain these global threats.
Today, we are coming face to face with the refugees from war-torn nations and witnessing first-hand the consequences of not doing enough or playing politics with issues that could have mattered. The situation has hit home as we speak, we have seen one terrorist attack from another in our major cities around the world, and we are gradually beginning to understand that none of us is immune to the ripple effects of armed conflicts, terrorism, violent extremism, transnational and organized crime.
MOP – A CALL TO SERVICE
The Messengers of Peace Mission is born for moments and times like this. We are global citizens who are greatly concerned and committed to bringing nations together and bridging the obstacle to global security and peace.
We are an army of peace-loving and peace-promoting humanitarians. Our tools are not weapons, rather, they are peace through love and diplomatic intervention as the world will witness a dawn of new era of peace engagement.
Now is the time to stand. Now is the time to reverse the rising trend of incessant conflicts and terrorism. Now is the time to heal our nations and citizens, create clear, actionable goals for change to be implemented within countries of the world that are grounded in our common humanity, the one value that unites us all. This is why we, the Messengers of Peace Army are calling on world leaders to open their hearts to welcome us and give peace and chance, this reinforces our collective commitment and responsibility to guard our common humanity.
HEALING OUR WORLD BEGINS TODAY
As new wars and civil unrests seem to be flaring up every week, there is unlikely to be a reversal of this trend in the short run. Old conflicts like the ones we have seen in the Middle East and Africa have remained deadlocked. Exacerbated regional rivalries are also transforming the landscape, as is particularly evident in the competition between Iran and the Persian Gulf countries for influence in the Middle East (Jean-Marie Guéhenno ICG), and between the world superpowers in the competition for influence between the Israeli, Palestinian and other Middle East crisis resulting to proxy wars that have had devastating consequences from Syria, Palestinian, Israel, Lebanon, to Iraq, Libya, South Sudan and Yemen.
With the crisis in Gaza, the rise of Islamist militants in Iraq, Libya, Nigeria and Syria, and the international stand-off ongoing in Ukraine, the nuclear threat in North Korea and Iran, it can sometimes feel like the whole world is at war, but indeed, we are in a state of constant hostility.
Many world leaders claim that the way out of deepening divisions is to unite around the shared goal of fighting terrorism. But that is an illusion: Terrorism is just a tactic, and fighting a tactic cannot define a strategy. Jihadi groups exploit wars and state collapse to consolidate power, and they thrive on chaos. In the end, what the international system really needs is a strategy of conflict prevention that shores up, in an inclusive way, the states that are its building blocks. The international system needs more than the pretense of a common enemy to sustain itself. (Jean-Marie Guéhenno ICG)
OUR INTERVENTION
The Messengers of Peace Army will embark on a global peace mission to extend an Olive Branch to war-torn countries, countries currently in conflict and those emerging from conflicts, learn about the causes of those conflicts from people directly affected, gather local reports, analyze what is happening on the ground and improve the capacity building. We are going to visit places that are very tough, hold meetings with National, State, Local and Tribal Leaders with a sole aim of building the necessary environment conducive to give peace a chance.
We will be going with relief materials for immediate need to those in need and refugees in the camps

WHAT YOU STAND TO GAIN?
Today, we are coming face to face with the refugees from war-torn nations and witnessing first-hand the consequences of not doing enough or playing politics with the scourge of violent conflicts, violent extremism, terrorism, transitional organized gangs. The situation has hit home as we speak, we have seen one terrorist attack from another in our major cities around the world, claiming hundreds and thousands of lives and we are gradually beginning to understand that none of us is immune to the ripple effects of armed conflicts, terrorism, and violent extremism. We can find lasting solutions to these scourge by supporting global peace efforts together if we engage all actor, from state to non-state.
At the completion of this mission, we will compile a Picture Collage Booklet of the Peace Mission Journey around the world with a Video Documentary of all our activities and a Messenger of Peace T-Shirt which will be available to all.
Peace work will never end, but only steady recommitment and renewal of faith will keep the flame of a world at peace with justice alive.
