The transatlantic peace talk project is one of our flagship commitments to enriching dialogue on complex and conflicting issues around the world aimed at Strengthening Transatlantic Cooperation between nations, states within nations and regional organizations.
Our commitment addresses a fundamental problem in our world, from violent extremism to terrorism, transnational and organized crimes, weapons of mass destruction, issues on women, peace and security, as well as many aged conflicts that have proven unresolvable for decades now. We further expose the extreme polarization of our world and our politics both at national and international fora’s and how it has impacted negatively on global security and peace.
To make peace work across the Atlantic, global and national leaders from all sectors must think and act differently compared to those of the past. We must recognize the value of collaboration — both in meeting our individual goals and to forge partnerships that develop sustainable solutions to global problems. So through a robust outreach and advocacy, we work with leaders who are committed to strengthening transatlantic relations to make a free, prosperous, and peaceful world possible.
POLICY
Our world today is currently facing litanies of unresolved conflicts and impasse between and within nations. We provide effective ways forward to resolving all these problems. We engage with policymakers at national capitals to shape policy within the countries involved, and on both sides of the Atlantic as we have staff and experts who have expertise in a wide range of subjects, from mediation to peace practice, security to democracy, and from peacebuilding to post-conflict restructuring, and a wide range of regions, from North America to Asia, Africa and from Europe to the Wider Atlantic Basin.
Also, convening high-level events are some of the GlobalCops most effective tools to build bridges in the transatlantic policymaking community. Our events bring together some of the most influential U.S., European, Africa, Asian and global political, corporate, media, and intellectual leaders to address pressing challenges currently facing our world.
DEBATES
We engage activists, professionals, leaders of government and private sectors on debates and discussions grounded in facts and informed by reasoned analysis. Our mission is to restore critical thinking, facts, reason, and civility to global public discourse on issues that have continued to plague our common humanity.
Our periodic debates are well attended. It provides a forum for balanced and intelligent discourse that is widely distributed in our radio program and podcast.
With the aim to promote intellectual and viewpoint diversity by fostering respect for contrary opinions, we curate thought-provoking conversations around the most important issues of our time. We give our audience the world’s thought-leaders who illuminate complex topics from multiple perspectives.
In return, this engagement fosters critical thinking in the next generation of leaders by making our extensive research archives and debate content available for classroom use.
LEADERSHIP
At GlobalCops, we believe that we cannot continue to do the same thing over and over and expect a different result. Our world is faced with many unresolved conflicts due to lack of leadership, unnecessary posturing and selfishness among political leaders and parties to those conflicts. We nurture a new generation of global leaders and thinkers who see things differently, offering rising and established leaders dynamic opportunities to build transatlantic bridges.
